Cooling Methods for Oil-Immersed Transformers

In operation, the heat from the windings and core of an oil-immersed power transformer is first transferred to the oil, and then through the oil to the cooling medium. Cooling methods for oil-immersed power transformers, based on capacity, can be categorized as follows:

1. Natural oil circulation cooling (oil-immersed self-cooling)

2. Natural oil circulation cooling (oil-immersed air-cooling)

3. Forced oil circulation cooling (water cooling)

4. Forced oil circulation cooling (air cooling)

Normal Operating Conditions

1. Altitude not exceeding 1000m, indoor or outdoor

2. Maximum ambient temperature +40℃, maximum daily average temperature +30℃

3. Maximum annual average temperature +20℃, minimum temperature -25℃

4. Transformers for operation under special conditions can be provided upon request.
